The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a shortage of face shields, putting hospital employees at higher risk.
We at Solvelight Robotics have been using our expertise in the 3D printing industry to print face shields for hospitals that are in dire need. We’ve already donated a number of face shields but we cannot keep up with the urgent demand from healthcare facilities around the nation.
Our Face Shields have been approved by Richmond Valley Medical Center’s Infection Prevention & Control Department in Staten Island New York. Read: Solvelight Donates 3D Printed Face Shields to Richmond Valley Medical Center
We’ve since started a GoFundMe campaign to help more hospitals get their hands on these 3D printed face shields. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to significantly expand our face shield production to then be given to hospitals and other health care facilities around the nation. These shields will be donated absolutely free of charge. It has become our mission to help NYC medical workers stay safe during this urgent time.
We need to work together to protect our health care professionals that are doing so much to protect us.
